Sports Clubs at Oldswinford

Below are the current range of clubs and activities that we offer.

 

Autumn 1 -

Y1, 2 & 3 - football - a popular club where children can develop their football skills, such as dribbling and passing. This is open to boys & girls.

Y5 & 6 - football team - this is a quickly filled club! Children will practise ready for matches against other schools. This club alternates between boys and girls each half term.

Y4, 5 & 6 - multi-sports - an array of sports will be on offer depending on what the children choose. A great opportunity to be exposed to a variety of sports and develop team-work skills.

Y3 & 4 - basketball - a fun sport where children can learn more about how to play the game as well as developing their skills.

 

 

Autumn 2 -

Y4, 5 & 6 - athletics - there will be a variety of different games and activities with a focus on stamina and pace. Some children may be selected from this club to attend two competitive events in the year.

Y1, 2 & 3 - multi-sports - an array of sports will be on offer depending on what the children choose. A great opportunity to be exposed to a variety of sports and develop team-work skills.

Y3 & 4 - dodgeball - this is a very popular club! Children love to play this game and play with different rules and play different variations of the game.

Y5 & 6 - football team - this is a quickly filled club! Children will practise ready for matches against other schools. This club alternates between boys and girls each half term.

Y1, 2 & 3 - gymnastics - this will be led by a professional GB gymnast and has proved popular in previous years.

 

Spring 1 -

 

Y1, 2 & 3 - ball games - an opportunity for children to take part in striking and fielding games as well as target games too. The list of ball games are endless! You may even learn a new game to play!

Y5 & 6 - dodgeball - this is a quickly filled club! Children always have lots of fun playing this energetic sport, which helps develop their hand-eye co-ordination, target skills and communication. 

Y3 & 4 - football - a popular club where children can develop their football skills, such as dribbling and passing. This is open to boys & girls.

Y5 & 6 - football team - this is a quickly filled club! Children will practise ready for matches against other schools. 

Spring 2 -

Y3 & 4 - ball skills - an array of sports will be on offer depending on what the children choose. A great opportunity to be exposed to a variety of sports and develop team-work skills.

Y5 & 6 - athletics - improving stamina and fitness levels.

Y1, 2 & 3 - football - a popular club where children can develop their football skills, such as dribbling and passing.

Y5 & 6 - football team - this is a quickly filled club! Children will practise ready for matches against other schools.

 

Summer 1 -

 

Y3, 4, 5 & 6 - archery - an opportunity to play a sport that most children will not have had the chance to.

Y1, 2, 3 & 4 - sports day games - a chance to practise and enjoy some of our fun sports day activities that we have to offer.

Y1, 2 & 3 - striking & fielding games - an array of sports will be on offer depending on what the children choose. A great opportunity to be exposed to a variety of sports and develop team-work skills.

*We only have 3 sports clubs on offer this half term due to football matches*

 

Summer 2 -

Y1 - 6 (KS1 & 2 on different days) - multi-sports - an array of sports will be on offer depending on what the children choose. A great opportunity to be exposed to a variety of sports and develop team-work skills.

Reception - an introduction to sports clubs after school - fun games allowing the children to have some ownership of what games and skills they would like to play and develop.

Year 6 - fun leavers games
