Science at Oldswinford CE Primary is fun, practical and encourages pupils to question the world around them.
Our curriculum thoroughly covers the National Curriculum topics of Biology, Physics and Chemistry whilst developing the Working Scientifically skills of practical observation and investigation.
Science is usually taught as a discrete subject although links between other areas of the curriculum are made where possible e.g. health topics in PSHE, graph skills in maths and habitats in geography.
Every year, we hold a science week where all classes take part in fun science experiments and activities or a science fayre where children can display and demonstrate their own experiments and projects.
