English
In English we will be reading 'Rooftoppers' by Katherine Rundell. The children will be taken on an enchanting adventure through the rooftops of Paris. This heartwarming and whimsical tale follows the journey of Sophie, a young girl who is determined to find her mother, despite the odds stacked against her. As we read, we will explore the importance of relationships and moral compasses.
In our writing we will use the story to create creative pieces and balanced arguments.
Maths
This half term we will begin maths with fractions: equivalent fractions, adding and subtracting fractions with different denominators, multiplying fractions and dividing fractions by a whole number, decimals and relationships with decimals, fractions and percentages.
Science
Our topic will be light. We will be investigating light sources, shadows, reflections, how we see, colour and famous scientists.

Geography
We will be looking at the country of Greece including its main physical features and climate.

PE
We will continue with Forest School this half term and we are fortunate to have gymnastics on a Monday with Tom.
DT/ART
As we didn't finish our art last half term, we will be completing the Greek art project by designing and making Greek pots out of clay. We will then be designing and making a pencil case using many skills: measuring, cutting, threading and sewing.
Music
We will be learning how to play the ukulele.
French
Our French topic will be 'Le weekend'. We will be learning phrases that will be useful as to what we do at the weekend.
RE
In RE we will be asking the question 'Was Jesus the Messiah?'. We will be looking at evidence from the Bible whilst looking at the Christmas story and whether prophecies came true.
