Thursday’s Sponsored Event: Our chain of hands around Oldswinford is just in the final planning stages! Sorry for the delay in sharing this but I think we’re finally sorted now! We have changed the route to make it shorter and safer.Â
Â
If any parents, carers or family members would like to join us, we will be leaving school at 1.30pm. Led by Mrs Seker, children in Reception, Year 1, Year 3 & Year 4 will be leaving school by the pedestrian gate on Field Lane so if you congregate there, you can join your child as they come out.
Â
Led by Mr Pardoe, children in Year 2, Year 5 & Year 6 will leave school by the Marlborough Drive gate, so likewise, please meet us there to join your child.Â
Â
Mr Pardoe will lead his group up Swinford Road, along Love Lane and down the alley back to Field Lane.
Mrs Seker will lead her group up Field Lane into the cul-de-sac to meet Mr Pardoe and his group.
Â
Once joined, we will sing ‘He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands/ He’s Got Everybody Here in His Hands’ then head back to school to resume our afternoon.Â
Â
We hope you can join us to help raise awareness and funds to support Christian Aid in their quest to removing barriers to education for children across the globe.
Christian Aid week will be upon us from Monday!
The children have brought home letters and sponsor forms for our sponsored event next Thursday afternoon. We thank you in advance for your support. Parents/ carers and families are welcome to join us linking hands around Oldswinford. We may plan a slightly shorter route, cutting out Corser Street and Craufurd Street, instead cutting through the alley from Love Lane onto Field Lane so that we can guarantee a full circle of hands.
Â
On Monday, we will be introducing the children to this year's theme and throughout the week, each class will be focussing on Christian Aid activities.
Â
What a great opportunity to teach the children about the impact they can make, caring for their global neighbours.
