St Mary's Church Choir

Last Monday we welcomed Graham Davies, Choirmaster at St Mary's Church, to our Choir Practice.  He talked to the members about the possibility of joining the church choir.  Choir Practice is on Friday evenings at 7pm and members sing on Sunday mornings.  We already have several pupils who belong to St Mary's Choir and they find it an enjoyable and rewarding experience; they even earn pocket money for singing on certain occasions!  Your child may have brought home a letter explaining what happens next.  Please return these to the school office by Thursday 25th October.  If you have not had a letter and would like one, please see Mrs Hicklin or Mrs Hardy.

                 CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!

This week we began practising for our Christmas performances.  It may seem a little early, but there will only be a few practices before our performance at the PTA Christmas Fayre, which is on Friday 7th December.   There are links below to the songs we will perform at the Fayre.  Remember to get permission first as the clips are on You Tube.

Our song for the Christmas Carol Service this year is Love Grows at Christmas Time and I have added a link so that you can practise at home.  The Carol Service is on Wednesday 12th December.

Choir will also be visiting Oriel House Care Home and Beacon Centre for the Blind during December.  More details to follow by parent Mail shortly.

Our next meeting will be Monday 12th November at 12.05pm in 1 Crystal.

New membership is now closed until January and regular attendance will be required if you wish to take part in our Christmas performances as we have lots to learn.
