How the money raised has been spent......

PTA Newsletter February 2020

Foundation Stage Outdoor Area

Mrs Roberts has these words: We are delighted with all the fabulous outdoor equipment that has been delivered over the year. It has really enhanced the outdoor area . It has helped the children’s progress, developed their learning skills and made it an exciting learning environment. We would like to say a heartfelt thank you from all the Reception team (and the children) to the PTA and for all their hard work and time in raising money”

Book Fayre

2019: Once again, there has been much excitement at OCEPS as a further £1000 worth of books arrived from Scholastic, as a direct result of the money our parents have spent at the Book Fayre this year! Thank you - our library is looking wonderful!

2018: This week was incredibly exciting in school, as £2000 worth of brand new books were delivered into school for our library! This was thanks to the PTA who organised and ran the Scholastic Book Fayre last year; and all our parents and carers who took the time to browse the fayre and purchase some books to take home.

Some of our school librarians are pictured above.

Forest School

We are thrilled that once again the PTA are able to support the school in delivery of Forest School sessions to all children in Year 3, 4, 5 & 6. Each class will enjoy a half term of weekly Forest School sessions.

Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 have been offered the chance to attend Forest school in order to build on the skills they have been introduced to over the last year during their initial sessions. Although the children in Foundation and Key Stage 1 have not yet experienced Forest school they have regular access to outside learning spaces during their everyday curriculum provision. If funding continues, as the younger children progress through the school they will receive four consecutive years at Forest school.
